The Waterfront Council Diversity Dashboard, developed for the Waterfront DEI Council, facilitates transparent and precise measurement of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the waterfront industry using various data visualization tools. Key tasks involved data cleaning, organizing, establishing the logic for demographic data display, implementing user authentication, and working with professionals to meet client-specific requirements. Users can analyze and compare demographic data, including gender, minority status, and disability across the industry and within their own companies. The dashboard's primary accomplishment is providing employers with a tool to monitor and evaluate employment equity progress, meeting client needs and ensuring its active use and maintenance.

Tech Stack:

• Python and Django: Backend development, data modeling, user authentication.
• Plotly and Plotly.js: Dynamic data visualization.
• HTML and CSS: User interface design.

Responsibilities:

• • Create Structural (Mass Timber and Steel Systems) and/or Mechanical (Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical) 3D models for fabrication
• • Virtual design and construction review of 2D drawings for all building elements (i.e. architectural, structural & mechanical) or any other 3D data file into one central 3D parametric model using CATIA
• • Attend and support project coordination meetings, deliver live reports to clients and construction personnel for large AEC projects
• • Manage revisions in the model that take place throughout the design and construction phases
